I have a few ideas, mainly taken from TATW, for the mod.
1. Armor-Piercing: Some weapons should have the ability to lessen then power of armor, giving a purpose to their use. Axes, Maces, and Hammers should all have a chance to bypass armor, as a chain-mail vest won't protect your ribs from shattering. Crossbows and Elven bows also can do this.
2. Critical Hits: Weapons, instead of having a set damage minus armor attack, should have a chance for insta-kills or critical hits.Only metal weapons (excluding half-troll and mallorn maces) and ranged ones can do this. The instakill would only work on enemies with 25 health or under, and would be a 10% chance for Elven weapons, 3% for Orcs, with others in between. Critical Hits would do a large amount of damage (15?), but not kill enemies.
3. Elven armor-piercing Weapons: These would be used by Warriors occasionally instead of a sword.
High Elves: Noldorin Longsword. A two-handed blade that is slow (ish) but has huge damage.
Galadhrim: Galadhrim Longsword. When Galadriel became ruler, she brought some Noldorin weapons with her. Less attack than the Noldorin, but can block. Looks like a Noldorin Longsword, but with grey where the Noldorin is blue.
Wood-Elves: Sindar Battleaxe. The Sindar used these as their primary weapon. Can also cut wood.
