Of course, elves are even more OP than before.
And I do wonder, howcome ranged weapons in the mod are so much better than melee? Long before 25 The elven bows were a lot better than even mithril swords, not only do they have more damage but also the range factor, because you can shoot arrows from 60 some blocks away, more if you know how to ark them that makes a 10 damage bow better than a 12 damage sword but the fact that it takes 3 iron 3 string to make a 10-16 damage RANGED weapon and 2 mithril to make a 9 damage MELEE weapon is somewhat unsettling when it comes to balance. And don't even get me started on Crossbows, power 5 mithril crossbows can kill anything, takes two hits to kill someone in full suit of protection 10 Mithril.
Youf forgot, Pikes,Pole Axes,Lance,Battle Staffs and clubs in the table snoopy.
Well, does the same not apply to the vanilla game? The bow can deal 5 hearts of damage while most weapons do a lot less.

Yes, I agree there. However, taken together with the fact that even at close range those bows are better, it stands to reason that something needs to change. Almost everyone will agree that the solution is a quicker cool down time.
I also must say that the slow-motion effect of the weapons when you use them looks cheesy.
True, but there is no limiting factor on how fast you can swing a sword in vanilla, while there is a hard limit on the speed that a bow is drawn. This means that the sword does more dps even though it does less per single hit.
I like the weapon cooldown. Just my opinion but its a good addition to the mod. I understand that for some its more fun if your able to put a bunch of enemies through a meat grinder but its not realistic. Again just my opinion but I do a lot of LARP and the cooldown feels about right.
I am going to try, first of all, changing the base attack time from 20 ticks (1 second) to 15 ticks (0.75 seconds). I have also decreased the speed of daggers, increased the speed of polearms (except lances) and battleaxes and hammers, and increased the damage of hammers. The 'extra crit' thing is not something that can happen easily, so I will leave that for now, as well as the bows, because that's a separate issue which would take lots of time to figure out.
Too many math and no combat...
just get yourself a mace of sauron and kill everything
What do you think?
