Hello all! As a player who enjoys playing as an orc almost as much as he enjoys collection butterflies I have also "gnawed" onthe unfortinate truth, the Gundabad faction sucks. Although Gundabad is supposed to be ragtag I do not believe it should function as an alignment farm for good players whereas the rangers of the north still haunt my nightmares. Gundabad also does not have much of a reason for evil players to be in it other than to build Goblin-Town or Mount Gundabad. The issue is that Gundabad has a lot of potential (I am a Gundabad player on the Official Server) but there is not much of a reason for people to have positive alignment with them other than to keep Angmar and Dol Guldur off and to get achievements. Now, to repent for my ramblings I have some suggestions. I apologize for any redundant suggestions and I do know that NPCs such as goblins or at least misty mountain orcs are planned. For any of my suggestions that involve goblins these are for when they are added not suggestions for them to be added.
Titles:
[Goblin] +100 with Gundabad
Structures:
-Goblin Hideouts: Similar to dwarves homes, spawning in the Misty Mountains with various treasures and goblins.
-Ruined Watchtowers:
-A type in the Lone-lands resembling a ruined ranger watchtower
-A type in the misty mountains that is reminiscent of a ruined dwarves structure
Mobs:
-Goblin Miners (Selling mining specific materials, similar to the harad mineral-trader. It would be amazing if Goblin Miners could be hired as miners but that may be too complicated to code.)
-Goblin Salvager (Sells various salvaged equipment, allows evil players to collect things such as dwarves armor)
-Gundabad Wargs (Yes, I know you are already thinking “We already have them”. The issue is that right now most wargs are a like and, as has been pointed out, Gundabad is not a very attractive faction for players. I propose that Gundabad Wargs become the “rohan horses” of evil so that Gundabad would have more of a reason to exist other that to be bags of meat for good players to cut down.)
-Maimed Trolls (The trolls in the BOTFA that have clubs for arms and legs so that players could have a cool war mount and hired unit.)
-Gundabad Berserkers/Champions (A stronger Gundabad unit, perhaps an uruk that has abandoned his post. From personal experience as a Gundabad player it is not fun to watch yourunits be easily slaughtered by elves. I am not asking for something of Uruk-Hai Berserker strength, just something that adds a bit more variety and strength to the hordes.)
Blocks/Items/Equipment:
-Hidden Trapdoor (Similar to the regular trapdoor except when stepped on the door open in order to ensnare players and mobs! These would could either look like stone or have a function that allows the player to texture the door by right-clicking it with a block of their choice. These could be utilized in goblin hideouts)
-Some “evil” drinks similar to ent-draughts. It would be nice to have effects such as fire resistance in Utumno without heading to the nether. Perhaps cauldron cooking, throwing various disturbing materials in cauldrons to make draughts. Just to have a crafting system other than regular old brewing.
-Salvaged Orcish Armor (Crafted out of dwarven ingots and orcish ingots in order to make an armor Gundabad players could wear that would not be horrible. Pieces of this could be worn by regular orcs and berserkers could wear full sets of it. This could possibly resemble Bolg’s or even Azog’s armor.)
-Goblin Armor (Made from bone and leather, gives mining haste)
-Bone-Warg Armor or Salvaged Warg Armor (Yes, this has been suggested but it would be amazing)
-Lots of war-helm variants (My obsession)
-Seared Flesh (Cooking rotten flesh in an orc forge or furnace would create a "food" that would have as much nutritional value as roasted chestnuts)
