Turbolasers are not plasma...I don't know where you got your information from but I would suggest you stop reading those star wars novels writen by authors who ARE NOT George Lucas. Firstly, if you assume a lightsaber is plasma with a magnetic field to keep its form...then how do you explain how plasma is able to "deflect" weapons fire when its nothing more than superheated gases? If that were the case, weapons fire would ignore the plasma and go right through.

I don't care how big star wars ships are...they can still be destroyed with ease. What people don't understand is that size can be a significant vulnerability in a fight. The bigger you are, the better target and easier it is to avoid your weapons fire which makes it impractical for fighting small ships that can get past your defenses. Also the bigger your ship is, the more attenuated your shields are going to be, because they have to work harder to cover a larger surface area which means the Deflector shields will be paper thin and weak. Bigger is not always better.

One: George lucas did say that it was plasma, wich is the same thing stars are made of, so imagine every turbolaser blast is a small star being shot in yo face!

Two: The Executor class had so many cannons (well over 10,000), as well as fighters (again well over 10,000)

The empire wasn't stupid they designed their ships to destroy fighters, and other fast ships, And as for manuverability, the stardestroyers weren't designed for that. They were designed for firepower, nothing else. Again back to the point where their ships were made for diffrent reasons, and there fore can't be comprared, and IRL example would be comparing a cargo ship to a battle ship, they are for comepletely diffrent uses! The federation wasn't a warlike government, the empire was, there is no question who would win in a 1v.1
