This is the first time I've ever posted a suggestion on for this mod, so bear with me. I don't think this has ever been specifically suggested.
My idea is the addition of a skeletal remains 'block'. No, this is not at all the same as the Remains Block which already exists within the mod. Think of how fallen leaves in this mod look, but instead with bones and a skull piled up on top of each other, like some unfortunate soul died there, and his skeletal remains have never been buried. 3D bones and a skull sticking out of the ground, think of how food appears when on plates, similar idea on how the skeletal remains would appear. Think of the skeletal remains we see in Moria, or the kind people find in ancient buried ruins, that's what I thought of. The block itself would not be solid (Like the fallen leaves or a torch, you could walk through it without being stopped or being moved up half a block) I personally think it would also be liable to gravity like gravel or sand. Without a supporting block, it would fall and likely break.
Upon breaking (With any tool, weapon, or fist) the pile would drop 1-3 bones and perhaps rarely a skull. I'm not certain whether this would be craft-able. After all, these are assumed to be the corpses of dead beings, not unnaturally made piles of bones (Like Orcs piling the bones of their many dead enemies) if the item were to be craft-able, I'd suggest crafting it with 8 bones (of one type, no using Orc and Elf bones) and 1 Skull. Perhaps it would be crafted on a normal crafting table?
Expanding the idea more, these skeletal remains could even be made to fit multiple races. For example, aside from a normal human skeleton, there could be Elven skeletal remains, which appear whiter than normal bones. (Like the Elven bones in-mod) Orc skeletal remains (Which would be darker bones and skull) And possibly even Dwarf or Hobbit remains? Each type would drop its respective bones (Elf remains won't drop Orc Bones, etc)
Carrying the idea even further would be the possibility of the skeletal remains wearing pieces of armor which would rarely drop when the remains are destroyed. Potentially, there could even be arrows, knives, or spears. These would (like the armor) be completely aesthetic, you wouldn't be able to pick them up, unless perhaps as a rare drop when you destroy the skeletal remains.
The final related suggestion for them would be where they would spawn within the world. (Ie; what biomes, where in those biomes?)
Mirkwood Corrupted: Elf and Human bone piles spawn in the dark undergrowth of the Spider-Infested trees. No doubt, they died from the venom of the evil spiders...
Mordor, Gorgoroth, Mordor Mountains: Orc bone piles and very rarely human bone piles with Gondor armor. (Presumebly the remains of Gondor's presence in the Black Land long ago) Plenty of Orcs have to die every day in the harsh volcanic deserts of Mordor.. I doubt their kindred Orcs bury or cremate them like the rest of civilized Middle Earh do...
Anything I missed? I'm looking for more suggestions on this and input! Locations aren't done, please suggest some more biomes where skeletal remains could spawn. I hope this suggestion is thought out well enough and could be practically added to the mod. Thanks for taking your time to read this! xD
