Seeing as gondorian fiefoms are being added, I figured this would be a good time for me to suggest this.

In the middle ages people would often wear colorful coats over their armor to show their loyalty to a fiefdom or cause. These were called surcoats, and it is where the term "coat of arms came from.

My suggestion is that armor for certain factions such as Gondor should be able to be crafted with banners in order to create armor with surcoats. Both the leggings and chestplates should be able to be crafted with banners in order to give the right look. These would provide slightly more protection, but would mainly serve as an aesthetic choice, indicating the serfdom of troops.
