[Closed:Expired] Methods to executing enemies.

Alright do you have a hatred for a faction unit and you simply do not want to kill him/her easily and want to kill him/her in style or you want to use it for decortions? Well this is the suggestion for you.

Guillotine

Now i do not have any clear name for this but I would like to call it the table chopper. If the enemy surrenders you can bind them to chains or you use a rope and bring them to the chamber and then you can execute them.

248-1- — Here what it look like.

Quick Note : the rope can only work on NPC not players. Another Note : NPC can escape from ropes.

Another Note : If an enemy surrenders you are not meant to kill him however this is a option.

Noose

This is called a Hang rope you can hang enemies by binding them to chains and bringing them to the chamber and right clicking it. Once you have place him/her in the chamber he/she will have their necks broke.

Crafting

Guillotine,: 3 wood planks and 3 iron

Noose : One rope and 3 wood planks.

Rope : 3 leads and 3 slime balls.

Chains : 8 Iron rings.

Durability

Noose : 240

Guillotine : 360

Chains : 500

Rope : 250

Things like this have been proposed earlier, but never made it to LoD or endorsed threads. They may be planned, but we can't really tell.

In past 2 months I've poked admins and the mod team repeatedly to put effort in updating the planned features list ... did it again last week. Next time I'll poke the Lion himself.

I understand the fun of this, but have serious doubts about the practicality and the value an average player will get for the coding effort, which will include blocks, NPC behaviour, texturing and mechanics coding.

I built once a noose wich works... a bit. I used a catus under the trap... hard to explain.. so here is a picture!

adding these things would be nice for deco aswell, I mean you can place some nooses or guilotines outside your fortress, place some skulls as a final touch and you have some cool yet (scary) deco outside

Also it would be cool if you could execute npcs in combat aswell, would add some difference in the boring hack and slash way you kill them now. This could be done by either a button wich triggers it if the enemy is under a sertain hp or with a chance of this to happen randomly in combat. (YEAH, finally it would be possible to decapitate orcs during combat and burn there heads.)

Maybe a system like in Doom where an enemy will be stunned or glow, to indicate an execution possibility. When you do an execution it grants extra alignment and gives a chance for other enemies to flee. The bigger the enemy executed the higher chance for enemies to flee but you get a smaller alignment multiplier (to prevent execution alignment farming).

Common civilian NPCs would grant a 3x alignment boost

common soldier NPCs would grant a 2x alignment boost

elite sldier NPCs (Black Uruks, Swan Knights etc.) would grant a 1.5x alignment boost

big units like trolls would grant a 1.25x alignment boost

mini-bosses would grant a 1.1x alignment boost; and

bosses would grant a 1.05x alignment boost
