Okay first a question for you all, does anyone actually use a anvil? I'm serious I mean mabye people use an anvil to repair their mithril armour but what about iron nobody repairs that. I mean they have a point why would you repair your armour you can't enchant it so if it breaks you just make a new one it's not like armor protects you less if it gets weaker like in real life. Everywhere in middle earth anvils are just sitting there useless unwanted discarded it's time to give them a use! Okay correct me if I'm wrong but this is how armor works in minecraft each half armor plate in your bar represents 4% protection so a full pair of leather armour protects you from 28% of all damage you take and a full pair of dimond protects you from 80% damage you take. I think the mod needs to diversify the protection the armour gives like this (now this may mean that players won't be able to tell exactly how much protection their armor offers but I don't think it's a big issue) let's say Mevans can't decide how much protection a new pair of boots should offer he thinks 4% is to weak but 8% is to strong so he decides to give it 6%. Now armour should also lose protection as the lose durability all boots can lose 3% all leggings can lose 6% all chestpices can lose 7% and all helmets can lose 4%. Repairing items would restore durability and protection this would make almost broken leather armour worthless and almost broken mithril still pretty good. What do you think?
