</p><p>I'm going to restate things in a way that I hope won't be confusing. Basically, you have to be within the limits of copyright laws for whatever country you are in, and the creator of the Music is in, or whatever country's laws bind the creation and intellectual property rights of the owner and the music. For most countries, I think permission from the author is plenty, but you should follow any requests that the author has of you in regards to the distribution of your music. If you have the permission, then your music pack is safe to post. Also if the music is clearly stated to be in the public domain (eg, Mozart), then you are allowed to use it without going back in time and checking to make sure that's alright with Mozart.
</p><p>To be honest, we (wiki staff, etc.) should post some kind of disclaimer about not being responsible for illegally posted copyrighted material. I don't want to be fined or arrested for being involved in anything like that...
