May I just say it feels really good to not have to copy and paste a massive introduction here xP
Hello, mellyn-nin! I was playing the latest Assassin's Creed game when I came across a feature that could be a good idea for the mod. This would be a money-generating and interactive system that alows the player to buy an inn, tavern, or pub.
1. Purchasing the Inn:
For starters, the player would need 500 alignment and 1000 coins. Though this may seem exorbitant, the shop can pay itself off pretty fast.
The player would approach the bartender and select a "Buy Shop" option. This would allow them to do several things, incuding changing the name of the pub and having the whole building protected for themselves and any they choose to allow access to. It would also begin the spawning of money in the trader's GUI.
2. Generating Money:
The money would generate over a period of time, perhaps one coin every ten minutes. This represents NPCs coming in to buy their daily round of beer. Though this may sound like a small amount for the price, over time it will generate large amounts of cash and pay itself off.
Furthermore, on servers, any player that buys from the barkeeper will have his money go directly to the naturally generating funds. In that way players could pay each other for gear as a real gameplay feature. It would also add a sense of complexity to purchases--you wouldn't want to buy that lovely barrel of mead and have the money go straight to your greatest rival, would you?
3. Possible Extensions:
These could also be extended to shops, blacksmiths, and market traders, at the discretion of the mod team. Overall it would be a fun and interactive feature to give players a way to earn money steadily over time. Let's just hope that the factions don't start levying taxes xP
Thank you for reading this suggestion! As always, comments, Kudos, and constructive critiscism is greatly appreciated.
