<p>I have a couple of questions that I've come up with while making my music pack.
</p><p>1. How does weighting work? I know that the numbers make a song play more or less frequently, but how should I use those numbers to properly weight the songs?
</p><p>2. Do the vanilla minecraft songs still play if I use a music pack, and if they do, can I disable them?

<p>The weights should be decimal numbers between 0 and 1, and ideally they should add up to one for any given song.
</p><p>I'm not sure about vanilla music, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't play except maybe in regions where you don't have songs for.

<p>I've had Vanilla music play in the menu, which I didn't specify a song for. However, I have not had that happen in other regions. </p>

<p>If I made gave a song a weight of 0.4, for example, how would that change the frequency of the song?

<p>It would play 40% of the time, provided your other songs for that region add up to .6

<p>Do we have a guide for creating music packs? If not, someone should make one. I would see not having one as a lacking.

</div></div> </div> <p>It depends. If one is using Malvegil's program, there's a user guide in the blog post, and more help in the thread for that program. MindofMike also made a video on creating music packs with said program. </p><p>If one is trying to do it from scratch, I don't believe there is much of anything there. However, I haven't done much looking on that, since I've just used Malvegil's program since its creation. </p>
