Geography of the mountains of the wind: Currently in the mod, the mountains of the wind are very small. I think they should be made much taller and more jagged, possibly the tallest mountain range in middle earth or atleast as tall as the misties. Another addition to these mountains would be icefall or glacier subiomes. A glacier or icefall is a large river of ice that moves extremely slowly down the mountain. These icefalls should be littered with deep crevasses (ice ravines) and should be very treacherous to cross. Within the mountains there should be deep valleys with vegetation and sherpa like farming villages. Also, the northern foothills of the mountains of the wind should be small and jagged, with little to no vegetation. There shouldn't be much vegetation because it doesn't make much sense to have a lush forest with lots of fauna transfer into a wide desert. On the southern side of the Mountains of the Wind there should be a bamboo forest with animals such as pandas, red pandas, and maybe even monkeys. Peoples of the mountains of the wind: Instead of adding a strong warrior faction to the mountains of the wind, I suggest adding a peaceful sherpa like faction. I am not very good at making faction names, so I'm open to suggestions in the comments. I call them Wind Easterlings for now. This faction should be relatively isolated and should exist in small villages in the valleys of the mountains of the wind. Here are the NPCs:
Wind Easterling: These would be the normal NPCs and would live in Wind Easterling huts and houses.
Wind Farmhand: These would be the farmers of the villages and would be able to be hired from Wind Farmers.
Wind Farmer: These NPCs would allow you to hire Wind Farmhands from them.
Wind Porters: These NPCs would be skilled at climbing mountains, and should have a backpack on their head. These NPCs would be hirable, and would be able to carry large ammounts of items to a designated location for you. To represent their climbing skills, they would be able to "climb" 3 block walls by moving up them like a spider. They would however, move up more slowly then a spider. These NPCs would have 22 hearts to represent how they are hardened and stronger from living in the mountains.
Wind Mercenary: These would be the average soldiers of the mountains of the wind and would spawn around towns wielding bronze weapons and panda fur armor, made from panda fur which would be obtainable by killing pandas. Panda fur armor would have slightly below bronze level armor, but these NPCs would have 22 hearts to represent how they are hardened from living high in the mountains.
Wind Archer Mercenary: What the name says.
Guard of the Wind: These would be the elite soldiers of the mountains of the wind and would wear a special type of panda fur armor made from panda fur and iron in an armor shape. They would wield iron weapons and have 24 hearts to represent how they are extremely hardened from living in the mountains.
Wind Chieftains: These units would wear wind chieftain helmets which would be made with the special panda fur iron alloy helmet used by the Guard of the Wind and 2 yak horns in the same way the Easterling Warlord helmet is made. They would allow you to hire units.
Those are the NPCs. Now I have one more part to the suggestion.
Yaks: - Yaks would have the health of kine of araw and would drop yak horns when killed. They would spawn below Y 200 and above Y 100 in the Mountains of the Wind and their foothills.
Pandas- Pandas would spawn in the bamboo forests south of the foothills of the wind and would drop panda fur and panda meat.
Red Pandas - Red Pandas would be simply rarer variants of normal pandas and would drop red panda fur, which would be used to make red panda fur armor and for trading. They would also drop panda meat.
I didn't give crafting recipies because I want the mod team to interpret it in their own way if they like it.
Hypocrites who say this isn't lore, COME AT ME! The factions in the lands of Far Harad aren't lore either and I will be ready to send any hypocrites down to their miserable holes and off this thread.
Constructive Criticism is welcome.
I give part credit to Grey Wolf (you know who you are) for giving me insperation.
Suggestion made by Loke Khan Torgou of Rhun.
