Meme War: Chainmail VS Platearmor

Hello all!

Welcome to the first meme war since alot of weeks! The topic of this meme war is an common question of the LotR mod community, which split the community: Chainmail VS Plate Armor

Chainmail supporters say Plate armor was never mentioned and that armor in Middle-Earth is just created by Peter Jacksons mind.

Plate supporters say it look better, and there is always a nice texture pack of Ithillion if you prefer Chainmail armor.

Let the meme war beginn, please don't insult the members of the other party, anything which goes to far is not allowed and will be removed.

I will support the Chainmail side and start the war with this meme (my first one)

Don't see what my profile picture has to do with my views. It' true that it's Fingolfin in some form of Plate (though not the evil cuirass). That doesn't change my argument ;)

My picture doesn't affect the mod, therefore it doesn't matter. It was chosen long ago, when I first started using the mod, and I still like it and don't plan to change it.

I assume you mean plate, and the reason is lore-accuracy. I like to ask myself, when suggesting a feature, if Tolkien would approve. That's why I don't like plate armor--because he most likely wouldn't.
