I think the woodland realm should have golden armor as well, like in the films (The hobbit: the battle of the 5 armies). Also new troops with the golden armor, which are stronger than normal woodland warriors.

Gonna put this out there, the new hobbit films took quite a few liberties. The cartoon ones were started while tolkien was alive, but were finished after death, so none are truly canon. As has been stated, only books are canon.
The elves always have silver armor (Save for Lothloriens who had some yellow in their armor) and I must insist that you do not use anything from the hobbit movies as canon. In my opinion the lotr movies are not as bad, except for rotk where they made huge changes.
Lothlóriens armour was never described in the book I think...
Grey mail and white capes.
Well, it's never really defined. The only other guys we know of were the Marchwardens, and unless they were the regular troops, then I would guess that Celeborn's were.
I agree it totally doesn’t work for Wood-elves. If people really like the look of that armor maybe the Avari could have something similar when implemented?
Maybe a mixture of Gold and dark green?
If anything, I think it would be interesting if the Avari armor / gear was more inspired by oriental armor during the early middle ages..
