Maybe new types of armor for the Elves of the Woodland Realm (Like in The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug, the golden soldier armor and royal palace guard armor)

Cause in the books the elves were said to wear silver armour... not weird lackered wooden armour.

They wear unpolished wood armor though, but yes I am against the movie stuff as well for the most part.

At least Royal Palace Guard armor would be cool because in my opinion, The wood elven armor atm looks not that good as the armor of the other elven factions.

Why? Its meant to be camouflaged. I think it makes sense for their faction. It also looks extremely better than it did when I first started playing (Beta 24).

The, blegh, Hobbit Trilogy, is non canonical in so many ways's it's not funny. First off, plate armor does not exist in Middle-earth, second off the Hobbit Trilogy butchered the book so much that it shouldn't even be considered slightly canonical. At least the LOTR movies stayed relatively close. Now, this isn't even mentioning that I question if the Silvan elves of the Woodland Realm could forge armor of that quality and in mass.

@TheIceInferno: The mod team simply doesn't like the look of it. That is of course within their right. Furthermore they generally try to avoid taking too much influence from the films.
The Palace Guard armor is definitely better than the regular soldier armor, and I think that scale style could be interesting. However, the helmet is very odd, and especially that I doubt the mod team will support.
If you want a resource pack that changes the armor to that of the film, there is always Calanon Evergreen's Film Pack which does that.

Ya, the hobbit trilogy is not canon, but the armor in the movies are great. If you want the armor from the movies, I recommend this texture pack, it is better than Calanon's:

I personally find the current armour for the Woodland Realm to be quite nice. Both sets of armour from the Hobbit films, however, I find pretty distasteful. The helmets especially seem very impractical, and the vibe of the sets as a whole is a little too stereotypical to modern "high fantasy."
