As much as I am biased against Gondorians and good factions (other than elves and hobbits) I think it is really not fair that only the bad aligned factions get explosives. There are the orc bombs, which have three different strength levels, and also the fire orc bomb, then there are the easterlings fire bomb (Khamûls Fire) which I LOVE and technically the Far Harads exploding termites. That is technically three or four bombs for the "bad guys". The "good guys" have zero. So, I suggest, an alternative for the good aligned players. Here I have made what I believe would be a fair make of a new item, called the Barrel Bomb. I did some research on different bombs in real life, and found this. So, in the picture to the right, the oak log in the middle is a barrel, then the gunpowder is gunpowder, and the glowstone dust is sulfur. This will make one Barrel Bomb, which is the equivalent of a level two orc bomb. (roughly two tnt explosions at once).
I think this item should be used by Gondor, as I have trouble seeing elves or hobbits carrying these things. There will be someone called a Gondor Bombardier, who walks around with a Barrel Bomb, and when he sees an enemy (negative aligned player or say a Mordor Orc) he will drop the bomb, which will begin the detanation process, and will soon explode.
That is it, and I really hope that you guys see the need for my suggestion. Basically, if you have a base and you are an "evil" player, even an invasion wouldn't scare you, due to the fact that no good NPCs have access into your base. Now, with this Barrel Bomb, bad players would have something to be afraid of as well. Thanks for reading!
More explody things for Gondor? Yeah that’ll never get through. Boiling oil though? Now that’s something I’d like to see. As one of the most common defenses against people trying to scale walls, boiling oil would be quite realistic and likely something that would have been used.

Makes more sense than explosives. Oil was used in historic battles as a thermal weapons.

in the mod they're already connected to flame, it could be khamuls fire but to my knowledge it doen't burn on water.
I see your point, but my guess is that Rhûnic fire is basically the Middle-earth equivalent to Greek fire (both fire pots and Khamûl's fire). Except Khamûl's fire, while it doesn't burn on water, it does act as a stone melter.
I came across this while looking for the description of Isengard for another discussion:
“One of them, Beechbone I think he was called, a very tall handsome Ent, got caught in a spray of some liquid fire and burned like a torch: a horrible sight.” - The Two Towers
However, this is technology of Isengard and not Rhúdel.

We don’t need to give evil even more powerful flamethrowers.... if anything Gondor would have Greek Fire as it was the Byzantinnes who invented it.
Tolkien considered industry and technological development an evil thing, especially when it proved destructive to nature. In that regard, I think he'd disagree with your statement there.
