Overview: Harondor, or "South Gondor" was once a province of the Kingom of Gondor at its height. After the Kin-Strife, Gondor's control on the region slipped. Since then, Harondor was locked in a perpetual state of warfare between The Haradrim people and the Kingdom of Gondor. As a result of continual war, the region fell into ruin and was depopulated. I have a few suggestions here that I feel will improve this region by making it more interesting, and making it actually worth travelling instead of just sailing the sea on your way to harad.
As of now, instead of a former province of Gondor ruined by continuous war, is Harondor really feels like straight up wilderness. A lack of touch by human civilization. Here are some adjustments and additions I think will give it the mark of war, and make Harondor really feel like a warzone.
Structures:
-Increase the spawn rate of small stone ruins (mines, quarries, wells, etc.)
-Add ruined, burnt, and rotten houses to Harondor
-Ithillien Ranger camps: In addition to the subterranean Ithillien hideouts, I feel that there should be Ithillien ranger camps above ground, like the Rangers of the North in Harondor. Gives it more of a military feeling.
-Ruined/burnt Gondor military structures and villages (North Harondor)
-Ruined/burnt Near Haradrim military structures and villages (South Harondor)
-abondoned orchards (lines of fences varying between normal, burnt, or rotting with tree stumps and some fruit trees
-large groups of dead trees
-Gondor tombs
-And something special: Mumakil bones! Remains of Mumakil who fell from the arrows of the rangers, should spawn uncommonly in Harondor. It should be The Ribcage facing upwards. if you mine it, should maybe give you mumakil bones?
