Funnily enough, I'm not actually a Dwarven builder, and I have yet to try the style. If there's anything on Durin's Folk builds, I'd copy that, and improve what could be made to fit what I said it should look like.
Hmmm.... i will try, no promises tho
As you can see there is lots of use of stone but there are curved domes . While instead of the gold roof, I would use blue colored rocks/tiles.
I once build a bit on the Blue Dwarven City of Belegost and used and experimented a little bit with the structure spawners. At least what I can say is that you can build some nice Dwarven Gates by combining 2 to 3 Blue Dwarven Strongholds. I dont have a picture of the Belegost Gate now, but I built a simple version in superflat by placing 2 Strongholds 5 blocks away facing in opposite directions, then connecting both together, keeping the blue dwarven style and placing the gate. That design is highly upgradable like adding more floors or before placing the 2 strongholds placing one Stronghold in the middle and a little bit higher, so you can connect all 3 together.
Tipp: If you place it in a mountain with some steep, one or both sides will expand downward until solid ground, so you "transform" the little outlook platforms on the left or right in "towers" ...
But here is the pic of the simple version:
Blue mountains builds should be much more refined and elegant than those of their eastern brethren, an influence primarily displayed due to their proximity and close diplomatic ties to the Elves of the first age. Underground builds should be remniscent of the forests surrounding the southern parts of the Ered Luin, albeit infused with the strength and resilience characteristic of Dwarves. All structures should evoke a sense of forgoten grandeur, echoing of the once splendid halls of the First Age.
Overall, make sure that your builds make use of elegant pillars, and strong, yet graceful walls and towers.
Thorin's Hall
I mean, compared to their longbeard cousins in the east, sure the blue mountains may not be as prosperous, but they have one thing the others have not: uninterrupted peace since the war of wrath.
They lack the numbers of their warweathered kin (for some reason) but they have time, and security on their side.
