Yeah... thats the problem about anarchy servers and hackers. They seem to love destroying EVERYTHING for some reason. Trust me, I had creative and full access to tnt before, and exploding everything isn't nearly THAT fun. Its funny sometimes, (personally my favorite is the water launchpad) but honestly, I dont see the amazingness of people griefing everything all the time.
think, everything you make, you need to defend. hired troops protecting your base, siege warfare, waring factions, hidden bases, betrayal, warfare, battles destroying the landscape. It truley would be somthing.
We need a glorious communist server.
Minecraft communism actually works pretty good tbh. There's so little Capital in the game that it's difficult to be anything other than communist in the first place, and people usually aren't as attached to their massive stashes of objects in a virtual game. I've spent more time living in Minecraftian communes than any other system of organization during my time playing this game.
Anyways, an anarchy server would be something that I'd support provided that the community wasn't cancerous as heck and hackers got banned by a staff which hardly does anything but try and ban hackers. Without hackers the only real issue would be greifers, but that can usually be handled with banners and the sheer size of the map.
Grifing whould just be part of the experiance in my opinion. burry all of your important loot, and remember where, or have a super isolated base. your choice.
Or just use banners.
I'm down for this, I dislike PVP servers that enforce large, complex rulesets. Although I would suggest disabling banners entirely, so players would hire units to defend their base instead of just putting up a banner. A proper, no holds barred LOTR PvP server sounds amazing, and once I get my computer fixed, I will definitely use it.
This vidio actualy inspired this post.
Only way i see it workiing without it being griefed to death in short order (lets face it nobody wants to play in a blasted out crater) is if the surface was unbreakable and you had some other way of delivering resources to the players, like randomly spawning and despawning spikes of ore and stone popping up all over the place, still people would find a way to destroy the world.
It would take some dedication to turn the whole wolrd to a crater, not even 2B2T is compleatly destroyed, and that server is nearly a decade old
What do you think?
