ALL POSTSTrading Machine
<p>Let's be honest, trading with fellow lotr players is a pain and it is about time that something like a trading machine gets added to the mod. Imagine having a magical interactive block that players can craft/build to make trading more convenient. To use it, a seller can simply put the block down, place the merchandise, set a price in (Cs) and banner it up. Once bannered, other players would not be able to break it or steal its stuff, but can still interact with it to complete transactions. The seller can then come back at a convenient time and collect the profits while adding new merchandise. Tbh, I think this would be a very popular addition to the mod and it would also encourage the formation of functional trading settlements throughout lotr servers.

<p>This is unrealistic. There are no "trading machine's" in the lotr universe.
</p><p>Its more realistic. People in the old days traded like this. In the future they might make a trading cart or something, but they won't make a trading machine.

<p>I read it. I just think its unrealistic. I wish you described what it looks like, because "machine" is confusing.
</p><p>There are mods that add this I'm sure. As for getting triggered by machine, like I said, its confusing! And there's a difference between a trading wagon or chest, and a trading car and electric safe. That's what pops into my mind when machine comes up.

<p>Honestly, I think a hireable merchant-like NPC would make more sense. You could use similar mechanics, just change the concept.

<p>Get's shot in the back. Seriously this works in theory but in practice you can only do this once before everyone in the server knows you as a thieving scum, and nobody will want to trade with you anymore, i did this sort of trade many times, not once did anyone run off with my stuff. </p>

<p>Get's shot in the back. Seriously this works in theory but in practice you can only do this once before everyone in the server knows you as a thieving scum, and nobody will want to trade with you anymore, i did this sort of trade many times, not once did anyone run off with my stuff. </p>
