a simple suggestion, being able to add pouches to mounts. If the mount had armor, only small pouches. if the mount has a saddle up to medium. if the mount has no saddle, up to large pouches.

No one would be able to ride a mount with no saddle, so that would be ineffective. And I doubt spiders would be able to carry things in pouches, large though they may be.
Not a bad idea though.

I think the intention is they wouldn't be able to ride, so they would just be a pack horse

Led animal walking would need to be sped up significantly in order to be even moderately useful. I don't know how easily that could be done, but it's a cool idea.

Cool idea in theory, but in practice carrying around a bunch of pouches in your inventory will always be more efficient. It's like Llamas in vanilla, a solution without a problem, or rather a problem that had a better solution already present.
