Gay doesn't make it bad, but that's not the point.

All dwarves are born with beards, and Tolkien mentioned that they were identical to the males, maybe beards weren't identical, or maybe they were, but no one ever said it's 'gay' for the women to have beards lol, I mean the dwarves would shave other dwarves' beards in shame, so maybe that could be a feature instead, maybe you could change the suggestion to have criminal dwarves who were punished? I'm not sure how but just don't make your suggestion so upfront about sexuality.

alternatively, you could make it so that tools can cut off Dwarven beards, that would work too. Kinda like shearing a sheep. This way female dwarves might actually become kissable.

Gay or not that female dwarves have beards, if tolkien directly said that female dwarves had beards than it should be that way in the mod. It would be unwise to go against something Tolkien said just because it seems gay. As for having an option to shave a female dwarves beard just doesn't really make sense, because you wouldn't randomly go up to a person and shave their beard, although it'd be fun to have a command to take away their beard's (as like an easter egg).
