It'd be nice to have avalanches and glaciers, as well as orienting the mountains in the misties to be north/south rather then east/west, as the current setup creates wayyy too many easy paths through the misty mountains (and other mountain ranges) imo.
Also, revamped dwarven mines and underground dwarven towns around the size of easterling towns.
I'm not sure avalanches and changing the orientation of the mountains are feasible additions. The other stuff you mentioned would work though!
agreed! would be so cool to actually have places. even if if the update took longer or we only got some smaller places itd be awesome. Something as small as a replica of the town of Bree would be so cool. Obviously things like Orthanc are a huge projects so that could be something for the future. But for the newest update, small additions of actual places would be great.
totally should add Valinor/undying lands as a dimension accessible from middle-earth.
I too have been following the mod since random world gen and that's the thing I've been waiting for. All these factions are cool, but they don't add the breathtaking aw of seeing a huge fort with orcs surrounding it. Or the giant towers in mordor. Or the lonly mountain (Erebor) with it's dwarven forges and sprawling mines.
I am with the rest of the people who believe that even if the departure of the Mûmakil were delayed, the best thing would be to start giving some life to the points of fast travel on the map, starting to build the towns and cities of the books / movies, evidently starting at the start location, Hobbiton and following the order of the Lord of the Rings saga perhaps omitting the more complicated places to do by size and reserving them for perhaps 80-100% focused updates to them such as Mines Tirith ... Every time I have tried to convince friends to play this mod with me, the first question / disappointment that always appears is that although you can travel and the map is 10, the places you travel to remain as basic biomes of minecraft, leaving a void in the hearts of those seeking a great construction that will impress them.
Although, I currently have no idea how the world generation works in Minecraft or how a "static" generation system of structures could affect the current procedural generation.
(Click like in order to the modders support this idea)
Constructions like isengard tower, mines tirith or mines moria.
I would want the mumâk first before anything else. Think. If you ask for something you either get it or you don't, and the more you ask the less likely you are to get it.
Bree faction or the Beornings, i'm not all that hyped for the Mumakil, and they are bound to make the olog hai issue even worse, so i say Beornings, then Mumakil, and Bree just because it's the second landmark most everyone will encounter, and having it empty is just dissapointing, there is town of Bree in structures submod but without Bree faction it's just filled with hobbits and rangers.
What do you think?
