<p>I have been playing around with the hired units and the horn of command and sword of command gives me barely any control whatsoever. They cannot form any formations and using multiple companies at once is a nightmare. I would suggest using the table of command to customize some formations for your companies ahead of time and use the horn of command as a signal. For example, you could set archers on either side of the some swordsman and tell the swordsman to attack enemies while holding position instead of charging off and getting killed. Then, if some units try to flank your archers, you select the horn of command, select a formation, and give the formation command signal to make the swordsman split and flank your archers. This would also give archers a better chance to do anything instead of shooting at their allies with their arrows bouncing off and doing nothing. This would also help the cavalry units not get killed as well, since they just charge in leaving everyone else behind. This would make an army more usable and less like trying to get 100 butterflies in a straight line.
