This suggestion is short
Its come to my mind recently that the recourse we use to craft Orc Bombs isn't correctly named. I believe the mod should rename Gunpowder to "Black Powder", as it was known in medieval times.

Oh yes, definably could be considered a waste of time compared to bigger things like factions, blocks etc.
But its wouldn't take too long, and its just a slight annoyance. I think it should be changed.
Originally I was against this, just because it would be a direct change to vanilla, but a separate "Black Powder" item could be good. It could replace gunpowder in all LotR stuff, and it would prevent players from crafting TNT in Middle-earth.
If you can't craft tnt in Middle-earth, then only evil players would have easy access to bombs. That doesn't really sound fair.
I'm sure we could think of something similar to bombs. Maybe some sort of Dwarven thing?
S'moregoth, I never actually thought of that. Forgot how easy TNT was to make.
Never really thought that explosives would fit for Dwarves. Going off of what Gimli says about the Glittering Caves, they don't really sound like they'd be interested in recklessly marring the caves they love. Maybe in the places where their only intent is finding ore, but even then I can't see Dwarven bombs being a thing.
Anyway, I initially kudosed this suggestion, but I changed my mind for one reason: the term "gunpowder" is present in The Hobbit. It's one of those anachronisms Tolkien included that don't really fit in Middle-earth, like fully-working clocks, and the reference to express trains in Fellowship, but even so I think it's enough to justify the use of the name in the mod.
@User173.248.204.86 - I haven't read the books in a while, but I always got the distinct impression that explosions of that sort were a recent creation of Sauron's. I don't think the Free Peoples would use that sort of thing, even if they had access to it.
@One BehindTheHair - That sounds familiar - do you know what part of the book it is in?
