What do you guys think the Bree alignment will look like? My thoughts are:
Allies: The Shire.
Friends: Rangers,
Neutral: Isengard, Near Harad, Rhudel, Gondor, Rohan, High Elves, Lorien, Wood-Elves, Morwaith, Fangorn, Taurethrim, Dale, Durin's Folk, Blue Mountains, Dorwinion, Dunland.
Enemies: Dol Guldur, Half-Trolls.
Mortal Enemies: Mordor, Angmar, Gundabad.
One thing I've never liked is the way the inter-faction relations are set. There're a lot of issues (mainly all the good factions except the Taurethrim being mortal enemies with all six Orcish factions).
You're list is pretty good. Bree should be allies with the Hobbits, friends with the Dunedain and Dunland, enemies with Dol Guldur, and mortal enemies with Angmar, Gundabad, and Mordor.
However, I can pretty much guarantee it won't be like that. Bree will be allies with the Hobbits and Rangers, maybe friends with Dunland (but probably not), and mortal enemies with all six Orcish factions, just like every other "good" faction.
I would agree that Dunland should be friends. Nobody seems to like good ol' Dunland.
@Wookiee93 - I think there are definitely some issues with the way alignment is set up right now, but I don't think you should use current problems to guarantee future problems in this sense. Nobody in the mod team (as far as I know) has said that the alignments are set in stone. They even made a command that allows you to change relationships as you see fit! As far as good factions being opposed to orcs, it makes perfect sense in my opinion. Anyone can tell that orcs are twisted and evil just by looking at them. Mortal enemies to everyone might be a bit much, but I see no reason why any truly good faction wouldn't be enemies with them. (If Isengard gets units that aren't just orcs that might change things, but that's not the case right now.)
Yah, actually forgot about Dunland. Now I'm ashamed. I'm probably one of the only people who actually sees how sad their backstory is....

The problems with inter-faction relations affect all factions, I don't see why Bree would be any different. And considering how Bree guards will attack ruffiens, and villagers will run away from them (which makes no sense imo), I don't forsee Bree's inter-faction relations being any better.
While I agree that most good factions should be hostile towards orcs, the problem is that they're mortal enemies with all six orc factions. This wasn't a problem when there were only three alignment categories, but it becomes a problem with the five category system. Why should Isengard and Dorwinion, two factions that don't even know each other exist, be mortal Enemies?
Anyways, I haven't really messed around with the commands that change inter-faction relations. Do they change which factions are listed as allies/enemies in the faction menu, or is it only a technical change?
The command changes it in the menu as well.

Just read it again. They'll both avoid each other. Which makes sense.

You make some very good points. I don't know anything about Bree yet, but that does seem strange. And your thoughts on Dorwinion vs Isengard make sense. I was thinking of the older factions, like the Galadhrim, High Elves, and Dwarves, as they would have grudges that go way back, but for other places, like Dorwinion, Wood-elves, Dale, and Isengard, that wouldn't really make sense.
