I don’t actually believe I mentioned anything about the mod stealing things from vanilla. I just don’t like duplicates. I also did not know that the mods barrels are much older than vanilla. Thanks for pointing that out.
Regarding how everything in the mod has unique features not in vanilla. My question is this: why make a duplicate when you could add unofficial features to a vanilla feature?
Regarding your disagreement with my suggestion with barrel riding. I don’t actually mean that it would be the current texture of vanilla barrels. There is an old texture that is unused that looks more like a rideable barrel and less like a square. Also I am not saying that Kegs should be replaced by vanilla Barrels, but that Kegs should not be rideable as I do know that in “The Hobbit,” there is a clear distinction between the two types of barrels. The ones with wine in them are not used in the dwarves escape from the Woodland Realm and only the empty barrels are used. Kegs should represent the wine filled barrels while the old unused vanilla Barrel texture should be implemented and representing the empty barrels the dwarves used.
I think you misunderstood what I meant when I said that nearly my entire argument was destroyed. I meant that I am now looking at barrels in a new light. I guess I should have used a different word than destroyed.
Regarding your last statement. I am not saying that everything in the mod has to be an addition to a vanilla feature, but I just feel that there is no clear distinction as to whether something in vanilla will be duplicated or added to Middle Earth.
