In my post, I am proposing that Harad, Rhun, and the other loose cannon aspects of the mob should be made into Data-packs and be replaced with only the pure cannon aspects of them in the mod. There should be options in the settings to configure them, but the default should always lean more towards the pure cannon. The following is how I believe the mod should handle cannon. The mod should start with things leaning more towards things directly published by Tolkien during his lifetime. After that, they should focus on things from Tolkien’s later writings. Then after that would be Tolkien’s earlier writings. After that would be things from the Tolkien Estate. Only after that should the go into loose cannon.

Well, I think there should be a config option, but they should be enabled by default.
If this default version existed, most of harad and rhun would be empty. This would be kind of odd... (In the west there's lots of detail, the moment you enter these lands there's almost nothing)

Pleasenotme, just because Tolkien doesn’t give any detailed information on Harad and Rhun doesn’t mean that they would be empty. In The Lord of The Rings itself, there is plenty of implied information regarding Harad and Rhun. I don’t mind the non-canon aspects that are currently in the mod. They can stay in the mod as long as the canon parts of Harad and Rhun, no matter how subtle, are in the mod.
Also, when I made my main post, by Rhun, I was mainly thinking about Dorwinion. Rhudal would just need some subtle changes for it to be exactly canon. Regarding Harad, the Half Trolls just need to have a bigger influence.
Regarding Near Harad, the Near Haradrim before the Harad update was the closest to the canon.
Umbar is the only Harad faction that should stay exactly how it is without any subtle changes.
I’m sorry but I really don’t like or agree with this. It is one thing to suggest something about the mod or to suggest a change to something about the mod. It is a whole other thing to suggest hours and hours of work to be erased. The non cannon aspects are in my opinion and it seems like most other people opinions one of the best parts of the mod. If you want to keep it chiefly cannon you would have to erase speech banks change the factions completely and other things. Yes it would make Harad and Rhûn feel like an empty desert.

And anyway, you wouldn't have any influence about what is added or not. Once Renewed is complete, You can change those areas with a datapack. Problem solved.
@Dour1234 aren't the canon parts already at least partially there? IDK because I haven't read all of his works but they seem to be there. Maybe a bit of elaboration is needed in Rhun (Wainriders or sthn)
