Maybe an item upgrading system could be implemented, for example u take an elven sword and coat it in gold, increasing your luck in re smithing and in increasing speed of tool or wepon?

It would be soooo easy to make poisoning daggers and arrows work on smithing table. So easy that it can be done in datapacks.

Yeah, that could be a use too(altho the fletching table should be used for arrows maybe, since it doesnt make sense to smith an arrow made of flint)

I like it! The smithing table could also be used to upgrade armor. I.e Gondor helmet into Winged Gondor helmet. Or dwarven armor into golden trimmed armor. My point is with Netherite upgrade ability the possibilities for new types of armor have expanded.

Ah, yes! The trimming and winging and berserkerifying could be done with the smithing table!

Imagine adding the bones of the filthy Horse Lords to your berserker helmet, or maybe the horns of the great oxens to make your enemies fear you
