I definitely agree. From what I've seen the area you discover from exploring isn't very large, and most people that are playing the mod know the map of middle earth decently well anyways. I do think we could keep it for new players, as it's not an overall bad addition, but I agree that there should be an in-game way to disable it, like with map location, friendly fire, etc.

I also personally don't really like the textures used for it. I understand that it's only just been made, so they might not be final, but I still feel like they're odd.
