We simply don't know what's going on. If someone (like the Wiki Staff for example, or those guys over on Discord) know, then they aren't telling us.

If there's no news by the start of next year, the Mod is most likely dead. What happens after that is anyone's guess.

Looking at the popularity of the Mod, it's highly likely someone will take over development (probably without permission) in the next year or so (if they haven't already started).

Overall, the Mod's future is looking pretty dark, but, in the words of Faramir: "I do not believe this darkness will endure".

I know this has nothing to do with Minecraft, but I've started writing a Silmarillion screenplay. I am wondering if you lotr mod guys had any ideas or suggestions.

Mevans has been active on the discord, the last mod birthday where he checked the last bug reports. He talked about "letting stew all of this one year again". So I suppose Mevans and the mode won't come back before next february.

Also. Mevans is polite enough to inform us if the mod is really dead. He didn't so he's just taking a nap, most likely. So nap nap.
