<p>I'd like to think that I notice the majority of these changes. It takes many hours to compile this list (doing it this time took upwards of 13 hours work) and I try to be as fair as possible. As for negative contributions, I <i>always</i> check them as sometimes a stupidly long paragraph or section has been condensed. In cases such as this, I usually just calculate the amount of bytes that were added to the page by the edit and ignore the stuff that was removed. The uploading of images is not counted, but the adding of the images (provided they are of acceptable quality and comply with the wiki style guide) are included in the total, but each image give +20 bytes, regardless of the size. Template edits are also calculated with a set value as well.
</p><p>As for Sinth's suggestion that knowing the system will make it prone to cheating; I'd like to think that the system I currently use is very fair and is quite hard/impossible to cheat, as <i>every</i> edit from normal users and Moderators are checked. I am usually a little bit more lenient with Admin edits as I trust that my fellow admins will not try to trick their way into position. I feel that the users who have been promoted to admin on this wiki are completely trustworthy and therefore have earned a little slack. I still check any edit that is 500+ bytes of contributions and any negative edits for admins but I usually just count the contributions between 0 and 500 bytes from them without checking (as long as the edit was not rollbacked or cut down by another user in a reasonable amount of time after the edit was made.
</p><p>As for images that are replaced from their source by their image name change on the wiki, I check most of these as well. There will always be some edits that slip through the system, but seeing as everyone's edits are calculated equally (aka all by me) this should cancel any differences out.
