I'm so excited about the upcoming update. I list some facts about Rivendell and I wish those can help you to create a more interesting update. This is not an exact suggestion, and it more like a collection of facts and settings in the books.
Firstly, Rivendell has Scouts: "Some of the scouts have been sent out already. More will go tomorrow. Elrond is sending Elves". (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Ring Goes South) I sincerely recommend that we add Rivendell Scouts and a set of Rivendell Scout armour. That would be nice! (BTW, they are the only Elven scouts mentioned in the legendarium. It's nothing, and you can keep wood-elven scouts since they are already in the mod.)
Secondly, the banner of Rivendell is silver: "First rode Elrohir and Elladan with a banner of silver, and then came Glorfindel and Erestor and all the household of Rivendel" (The Return of the King, The Steward and the King) The given banner is fair and beautiful, but it would be much better if it match up the description on the book. It would just take some effort to change the blue background to silver, and I will really grateful.
Thirdly, Pine-trees grew on the top of the valley, and the vegetation in the valley bottom was mostly oak and beech (The Hobbit, A Short Rest). I wish that we can show the difference in the mod by using differ heights. Maybe below certain height there will grow oak and beech, vice versa.
Fourthly, I wish that Miruvor can be unbrewable just like Lembas. It is okay to keep brewable, but it would be nice if it uses ingredients which can be found in Rivendell. I also wish the effect can be stronger and give the achievement "Cordial of Imladris". I recommend that we add Galadhrim Mead and Lindon Wine like Ithilion's suggestions (Thread:251470 and Thread:243814). BTW, Miruvor and Lembas really should be undrinkable and uneatable for evil players (Gollum as an evil hobbit dislikes Lembas so much).
Fifthly, Galadhrim wanderers may be renamed as Galadhrim givers, and they may only stay like Half-troll scavengers in the land of Lothlórien. They may no longer sell Miruvor. Galadhrim centrainly do not wander at all: "We live now upon an island amid many perils... The rivers long defended us, but they are a sure guard no more; for the Shadow has crept northward all about us. Some speak of departing, yet for that it already seems too late. The mountains to the west are growing evil; to the east the lands are waste, and full of Sauron’s creatures" (Haldir, The Fellowship of the Ring, Lothlórien) None of them has been to Lindon, either: "It is long indeed since any of my folk have looked on it (Elf-havens west of the Shire), yet still we remember it in song. Tell me of these havens as we walk." (Haldir, The Fellowship of the Ring, Lothlórien). Therefore, Rivendell wanderers who only wander in Eriador and sell Miruvor and other stuffs may be added to the mod.
Sixthly, Rivendell has smithes. I know this is obvious, but I just want to give you a friendly reminder. "The Sword of Elendil was forged anew by Elvish smiths, and on its blade was traced a device of seven stars set between the crescent Moon and the rayed Sun, and about them was written many runes" (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Ring Goes South).
Finally, Rivendell armour may also be silver like the film design one. It will be better if it is different from the High Elven armour.
Thank you for reading, and I hope those notes are useful.
