Hobbits are stronger than endermen... ya that works...
If we go for this, we would most likely have to do that for each faction that makes good armor, as i'm fairly certain making a helmet is more than bumping five ingots of iron together. This is minecraft after all, where we get bread straight from wheat without even using an oven...
While this post is...interestingly phrased, it has a core of truth. It would need some balancing (60 coins is completely broken) And such, it looks pretty cool. I would like to point out that Rohan is very powerful partly because of the horses and partly that their archers are actually effective.
Quote: I like this idea, but I would do it a little differently. I would take the head from each NPC texture and edit to add blood, a tongue sticking out, rotten bits, burns, or other such things. Then make it a possible drop from a mob, just in the form of a mob head. (If possible, the texture of the block should match the texture of the NPC.) It could be used like normal mob heads, OR crafted over a spear to make a Head on a Stick block. It could possibly include a small GUI to give it a helmet. For those of us who are really morbid, it could be an excelent way to display our helmets collections.
The problem with this is that you would have to design a new texture for each combination of burns/slashes. The reason other people suggested that the overlays would all be in the same place is partly that it means a lot less work but also it would become player compatible. If you are suggesting a different overlay per burn/slash, that would make things *slightly* easier but wouldn't be player compatible.
Hmm. I'm not sure if that is or isn't possible, as Mevans has said that he either can't/won't add poisoned arrows...

Im suggesting that this "storm" is going to be as in Day aswell in Night
He meant that this is most likely planned. He is fully aware that as of Beta 31, it is not implemented into the game, but it will most likely be added eventually. TomtheBom (Temp mod) Send me a messenger
Sorry about that, didn't know it existed. As I said, I took an extraordinarily long break, missed out on a lot.
It probably has, but I went AWOL for a few months and don't know what has been suggested recently or not. I feel like you could recieve a bonus to wearing a full set of matching armor similar to the way Terraria goes about it. And or wearing different types of armor together could make you recieve a debuff, as generally mixing armors creates a lack of synergy, like irl some cultures armor would have a longer "collar" on the neck but a shorter helmet and wearing two different kinds of armor would disrupt the jigsaw puzzle style.
