Hello everyone today we will be talking about the benefits of having high alignment with a faction.
Before we start I just want to make a quick note that if any of these seem too OP then you should mention it.
I think that if you spend a lot of time getting alingment with a faction there should be some nice bonusses to it. (besides cheaper unit hire cost and a fancy shield) I would say that these bonusses should be on like 1000 alignment, with shields being acquired on 100 or 200 alignment (1000 seems like a huge amount tbh, I mean probably noone in Gondor has killed 1000 orcs (maybe Boromir or so but still) and it doesn't make sence this way).
The way this would work is that some factions have an active and some have a passive bonus. You can only have 1 active and 1 passive bonus at the time. Maybe if you get 20 achievements on the general achievements page you will get 1 passive bonus extra, and with 40 achievements you will get an active one extra aswell. The cooldown on switching active bonusses is 10 minutes and on passive ones is 1 minute.
Hobbits: I think that if you have a 1000 alignment with the Hobbits, saturation should deteriorate 20% slower then normal, some me think it is OP but I think that it isn't that OP since Hobbits are one of the harder factions to get a ton of alignment with, especially if compaired with some other factions, because all of it must be gethered by either killing Dark Huorns, or completing quests. Passive
Rangers of the North: If you shift, you will become invisible for a second or 5-10, after that there will be a 5 minutes cooldown (maybe less) to balance it out, this is really usefull when trying to escape when you have low health, maybe a trigger key for this is needed, so you don't waste this) Active
Dale: bows do 10% more damage if fully loaded and when shot at a distance larger then 30 blocks. Passive
Rohan: Do 50% more damage when on horseback, but do only 75% damage when not on horseback. Passive, but does take 20 minutes before you can swap this out, because it will be OP otherwise.
Gondor: Blowing on a horn with no units assigned to it will spawn 5 Rangers of Ithilien to help you in battle. Has a 10 minutes cooldown after each use. Active
Tauredain: When in the Jungle or in a Jungle sub-biome you will deal 50% more damage, and take only 75% damage (after armor and stuff calculated) Will take an hour before you can swap this out, after you left the junge and sub-biomes (if not chosen no problem) to prevent it from being too OP. Passive
Dwarves: this is for all dwarves btw. When in mountains deal 50% more damage, but when not in mountains deal only 75% damage. Also takes 20 minutes before you can swap. Passive
Galadhadrim and Wood Elves: When in a forest biome you deal 25% more damage and take 10% less damage. If this forest is Lothlorien or Mirkwood (Woodland realm and Northern Mirkwood) the bonus is doubled. (With 1000 Lothlorien you will also get the double bonus for Mirkwood and vice versa) Passive, has a 10 minutes swap cooldown. Once Beorn is added they will have this advantage aswell.
High Elves: Deal 50% more damage when not moving for 1 second, but only 75% when moving. Passive, 5 minutes cooldown. (turning doesn't count as moving, altough this seems OP, it isn't that OP because you will be moved every time you get hit, and if you stand somewhere too long you will take a lot of damage.) Passive.
Dorwinion: Have 10% more chance to have a merchant spawn, also hiring units will cost 10% less gold. Passive, has one hour cooldown.
Gundabad: Can do a power attack that does 19 damage every minute, however does require you to stand still for 2 seconds. Active
Angmar: Can scream every 10 minutes, after which any nearby NPC's will run away. Active
Dol Guldur: do 25% more damage when in a forest, 50% when in Dol Guldur. Passive 10 minutes swap cooldown.
Dunland: do 25% more damage when in a forest, 50% when in Dunland. Passive 10 minutes cooldown.
Isengard: do 25% more damage when in any kind of plaines biome. Passive 20 minutes
Mordor: running uses only half the food at night, but double the food at day. Passive 40 minutes
Near Harad: when in the desert or on the beach you do 50% more damage, when anywhere else you do only 75% damage. Passive
Moredain: you can do a power attack that does 20 damage once every 5 minutes, you can do this if you are moving or not, will give you double weapon recharge speed for a minute. Active
Half Trolls: running uses only half the food at night, but double the food at day. Passive 40 minutes
Thank you for reading all of this. Let me know what you think about this and if you have an idea how to improve any of them then let me know.
