The patrols have a 1 in 18.000 chance of spawning (different for every faction, let's assume it's Gondor) every tick, so there should spawn one every 15 min (not sure about this, probably longer).

These patrols get a center point, and start walking.
The patrol of 7 spots an group of 9 orcs. They will try to gather 9 + (9 / 10 = 0.9 ~= 1) = 10 soldiers. The other patrol will go help them, and than walk back with what is over from there patrol to the last point, and continue there patrol.
However, if the patrol of 9 spotted the orcs, it wouldn't have called for help, as they already had 9 men.
If they spotted a group of 25 orcs, they would call for help. However, there are no other soldiers available, so they are only with 16 men. As they are heavily outnumbered, they spawn an counter invasion. The troops of the counter invasion target the orcs (probably also an invasion, if there a 25) and fight them.
Then, when the orcs are killed, the troops of the counter invasion will just wander around, and the patrols also wander around if they have been to all points.
Is this a bit what you imagined? Note: this is probably completely wrong, don't be afraid to say something isn't right or is to OP.
Also, to reduce lag, maybe the NPCs from the counter invasion and patrol could just despawn. And make 1 troop in a patrol the "leader", and only process the enemy spotting for him, and not for the others.
OP means overpowered.
this is a really good idea! i like it. i will use similar tactics when i am raided!

I like this suggestion. could it be possible that you could make it that you select certain warriors to be champions? this would make more sense than hiring a champion a sight unseen. Kudos!

I like this idea. It may not be 100% canon, but it would be good for elven players to have a doggy companion more powerful than a wolf, yet one that will save you if need be Kudos!

I agree. Archers should have the faction's sword, not the dagger. daggers are too weak. perhaps the swords would do less damage when wielded by archers?

This sounds like a great idea. Perhaps you could make it so that you must have +1000 Rohan alignment ro tame them? they could just spawn normally amongst the normal horses.

The amount of obscenities trolls could cause could cause a lot of damage.
I think that on Servers there would have to be rules surrounding banners. Also you could implement who created the banner as well.

I would like to make a suggestion.
In this suggestion you can make your own banner. This would be very useful for servers, as people would be able to have their own custom banners. You would be able to use basic pixel art on your banner, so you could make some basic banners. You could choose a basic background colour out of the basic Title colours, as well as your pen colour, with the same basic colours. This Banner would be registered as the banner of a certain palyer or of their build. with the basic 32/64 banner shape image, you could simply edit the banner one pixel at a time. This means that custom Factions and Guilds on servers could have banners, and so that in single player you could put funny banners on enemy buildings.
I hope you people like this suggestion.
