That's so you can build a huge structure in it without coming out the other side after building just the throne hall.  Minecraft's height limit is 256 blocks, and there is no way to code structures to go any higher.  Unless you want the Lonely Plateau, you need to keep the mountain at or under 256 blocks tall.  And if you have an incline that stretches out horizontally without stretching vertically, it will look more gradual. </div> <p>Ever heard of cubicchunks? </p>

I'm not sure avalanches and changing the orientation of the mountains are feasible additions. The other stuff you mentioned would work though! </div> <p>Why wouldn't they be? </p>

<p>I agree. Wicked Dwarves should be extremely rare in non-mordor evil territories, and very rare in mordor itself. </p>

<p>I think you should only be able to fast travel within a certain range of where you are, like perhaps 10000 blocks if you are on a road, and 5000 blocks if you're in the wild. Also, you should only be able to fast travel to waypoints you've been. </p><p>But a lot of players would also not like that, so a good compromise would be having the limitations of the fast travel system be a customizeable menu in the world creation menu. (Or with commands) </p>

<p>Something like that but maybe a bit more basic would be pretty cool, although I don't know how mevans would optimize it. </p>

Breeland Mercenary's </p><p>These could possibly work as trackers with the same mechanics as Orc Snufflers but for those with positive alignment for the men of Bree. Not only that but these mechanics could be introduced for the men of Ithilien and the Dunedain rangers. </p><p>

Half Orcs </p><p>I'm sure this has been talked about before but, we should definitely have half orcs that when bree is introduced hang around in taverns for evil aligned players to get infromation from such as enemy players bases and even be up for hire. You will have to have certain alignment with Isengard to get these guys. Working with a system kind of like the sheild maidens of Rohan. You could also buy these from Isengard orc captains. </p> </i></div>
One thing I'd like to add - Breeland mercenaries would work as normal hired soldiers would, but would be completely faction neutral. <p>To clarify, I'm not talking about fixed structures, I'm talking about randomly spawning settlements like the easterling town, gondor town, rohan village etc etc. </p>

<p>I agree. Since Bree is described as being a place where all sorts of people meet up from the west, east, and south, it'd make sense if mercenary captains occasionally spawn in Bree. </p>

Don't southron champions exist?

I'd rather mevans work on getting towns/settlements for each faction before we even think of major structures.
