Lotr Suggestion:- (Clothing)
I personally would think clothing being an addition to Middle-earth would be a great thing.
Types of clothing would be split into four, so that they'd be for each armour slot already in vanilla MC:
This will be hats (already added), balaclavas (for robbers?), monocles , glasses, scarves.
This will be tunics, vests, jackets , t-shirts, jumpers, necklaces ,bowties, thermal jackets?, coats, capes and many more...(Suggest them down in the comments!)
Wooly trousers, weapon holsters (to keep small blades in), leather trousers, human/elf leather trousers (for evil players) and more... (Suggest more down in the comments)
Sandals, leather boots , fluffy woollen slippers, flippers...(Suggest more down in the comments)
There will be the armour slots as usual, but similarly like Baubles or Crafting Dead, there will be four other slots with one extra next to the 'body apparel' slot for jewelery and the like.
Different clothing (Any clothes made with leather, say) would be tougher to break (Instead of Armor toughness, it'll be named Clothing toughness). However, clothing isn't armour and will not provide any protection from fall damage or any type of general damage, excluding clothing made from TOUGH material (iron and leather).
Some clothing will provide the player warmth (Warg fur jumpers, woollen slippers..) which would be useful when the Lossoth faction arrives if it will arrive. A full set of warm clothing will prevent the Player from dying from cold in Forodwaith , however, if they adventure into warmer territories (Near Harad, Umbar, Tauredain..), they will take alot much more damage from heat than if they were 'naked'.
This, also makes armour into account. If you wear a scarf, a full set of any type of available armour, any full set of clothing, the player will have a slowness debuff due to the heaviness of clothing. It will also make the player ridicoulously warm, and if they were in a mild biome , they could die. However, if a player was in a really cold biome, they would be able to run on snow and won't have to worry about the cold.
There are different debuffs that the player would get depending on what they wear :
Anything woolen will have a +1 Warmth debuff (when you hover your mouse over the selected piece).
Anything leathery will have a +3 Warmth debuff and a 5+ Toughness debuff.
Anything jewellery will have a +1 Heaviness debuff.
[NOTE: These could be nerfed, added to more, or increased]
This suggestion, I feel , would be more for Hobbits or people who like wearing things. Its also about choice, armour alone won't make you feel warm but it has alot of damage protection but different types of clothing will make you feel warmer and makes you look great but it doesn't have much protection whatsoever.
New Items that might have to be added:
Human leather (For the evil players!)
Buttons (All the dyes different buttons)
Linen (Silver linen, wooly linen, hithlain linen, warg fur linen..)
Cloth (Woolly cloth, Hithlain cloth etc..)
Zip (not sure if this is too modern..)
Fastener (not sure if this is too modern)
This is so that theres many combinations on clothes you can wear , as no two pieces of clothing should be the same! There'll be many crafting recipes for some of them but here is three:
HL X HL
HL HL HL
X X. X
C WL C
L. WL WL
X X WL
Warg Fur Jumper:
WrgFur. X WrgFur
Linen Cloth Wool
Cloth Wool WrgFur
