Here is an idea of a small revamp for Mordor:
'Blocks':
Painted Mordor Bricks. These will be Mordor bricks but with a painted eye. These will be crafted with Mordor Bricks and red dye. Fallen Ash. Piles of ash dotted around Mordor (Most commonly found in the Mountains of Ash, Lithlad and Eastern Desolation). Breaking them will give you ashes. Ash Blocks. Blocks crafted from 4 ashes. They will make up the surface the Mountains of Ash and Lithlad. These blocks will never burn out.
NPCs:
Mordor Orc Smiths. Smiths that can be found in Mordor Smithies. They will sell to you Mordor Equipment, Orc Steel, Arrows and other utilities. They will hold a Blacksmith's Hammer and a Silver Coin Mordor Orcs Miners. These can be found in Mordor Mines. They sell Different ores that you can find in Mordor. They will hold a Mordor Pickaxe nd a Silver Coin.
Structures:
Mordor Smithy. Smithies you can find in large Mordor camps. They have Orc Forges, Mordor Armour, Mordor Weapons, a Stone Chest and a Mordor Orc Smith Mordor Mines. Mines in Mordor with various tunnels. Here you can find Mordor Orc Miners. These can be found in Mordor, Gorgoroth, Udun and Lithlad. Mordor Watchtowers. Towers that can be found in Large Mordor Camps. Large Mordor Camps. Orderly camps made in a sqaure with 4 Mordor Tents on all sides, 1 of those having the chance of being a smithy. A Black-Uruk Fortress in the centre. 4 Mordor Watchtowers in the corners. 2 Warg-Pits (Spider-Pits if in Nan-Ungol) on either side of the fort. And Mines scattered on the outside.
Biomes:
Mountains of Shadow (Ephel Duath). These are the mountains on the western and souther sides of Mordor and will not change apart from the name. Mountains of Ash (Ered Lithui). These are the mountains in the north of Mordor. Their surface will be made out of Ash Blocks and will have a high chance [of having fallen ash. Lithlad. A biome just south of the Ash Mountains. It will have Ash Blocks on its surface and a high chance of having fallen ash.
Other Additions:
Lava Rivers in Gorgoroth The ability to trade wirh slavers. Haradrim and Easterlings rarely being found inside. Ashes can serve as grey dye and as fuel.

I think that it should replace the ring compass (I really don't like the compass) but not completely. Maybe have it in a circle in the top-right though it should look like the top of a ring.
