I mostly got to this by decompiling the mod and looking into code for cords, then using my script to make them normal cords. Anyway it was fun to found them.
Sadly I won't post cords because I don't want to get banned. Only screenshots.

I found about this mod somewhere in 2022, not long after the Great Silence started. I remember every day checking the wiki to see if a new version has been released. It wasn't.
Mevans seems to have disappeared, even the facebook page is gone.
There are two more projects: the Middle-Earth Mod for 1.20, and LOTR Renewed Extended. The first, excuse me, seems like a joke. No insult, it just feels this way to me. LR Extended is good, but also rarely updated.
Our only hope lies in SlayingSlayer, the developer of the WOTR submod, who is working hard to extend the original mod as far as possible.
First we need to make sure that the mod is not dead...

Check if there (in world's save dir) exists a file named level.dat. If so, then download NBTExplorer (https://github.com/jaquadro/NBTExplorer/releases/tag/v2.8.0-win),
And try to open the file with it. If it will popup an error, it is likely that your world is corrupted and that is the reason.
Look into your .minecraft/saves directory.
If there is no directory named after your world, I suggest posting the crash report.
It may be because of chunk curruption.

I have built a base in the grey mountains, using three summoned invasions of my faction and a lot of banners, but I am worried if there can spawn an invasion of gundabad (which de facto owns the greys) or any other faction not liking me.
Is it possible for evil factions to spawn invasions in biome on-paper controlled by them?

Well I have posted the cords on this wiki some time ago (under the Mithril Ingot article)
This is because Minecraft 1.7.10 needs LWJGL 2.9.3 to work, the 3.x.x cannot be used. You should look at your commandline arguments and if this won't work consider switching to a different launcher.
IMO this is not a good idea, as if you found this biome you know you are close to meneltarma
