I was scrolling around on the Building Tips Page of the Lotr mod wiki, and couldn't find any northern/Eriador/Breeish or Dalish/Rohirric Fort style. I was mostly planning on using this in The Eriador Downs and Possibly in Rohan in the Gap of Rohan. Be aware that I am on the Legacy Version. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
Hello, i am playing on aternos this mod with my friend and i wanna help. We were in Helm´s deep, Minas tirith and isengard. In isengard we didnt found circle with Saruman´s tower. In Minas tirith we didnt found the castle and the same in Helm´s deep. We are dissapointed and we want to stop playing that mod cuz we dont know how to find it. Can someone tell me, why dont we have these buildings there?
I started another fortress build for durin's folk and am stuck on the entrance design. I have two current layouts and wanted to know which one you guys thought was more appropiate for the faction it represented. Here's the second option. It's currently incomplete, but I'm planning to maybe have a second tier with a beacon tower and defensive siege weapons.
Hi, I'm trying to make a Dwarven fortress and decided to draw much of my inspiration from the hobbit movies. Just wanted feedback on what I could improve. Cheers!
Make it possible to revive Arnor. Make a quest with a certain amount of reputation from Dunedin. Also make, like other fractions, several types of structures (City, Fortified Village). I hope you hear me. Thanks for your attention.
I think that putting your own builds into this mod (exclusivly to the single players world) would add a lot of cool things like, what if you wanted just a little piece of the Gondor village, or wanted to add a whole new building or decoration, or even add whole landmarks to the game? (i would suggest more landmarks) I think adding custom builds to the game, would greatly increase the fun, (for me at least) thank for your amazing mod and all th work you put into it!!!
EDIT: Shortened overlong title. Was originally "The option to add your own little builds to the mod through (preferably) a block that you place around the desired new build." --- recneps
Does anyone have any references or ideas on what the main building in Rhunost would be? Like a castle or a palace? (Also, screenshots of builds that are of rhunost or would be good as a design of rhunost would be cool)
Hi, i have been search for some days structures of The Shire for build my world, i want recreate towns in the points of map (Michel Delving, Bywater...) Something have a schematics or maps with the hobbit villages? Many thanks.
Greetings! My name is WhaleHumus, and in this post I was wanting to show off a build that I had recently completed. What I built was a fortified version of a Gundabad camp, that looks more like a small fortress than a camp. What your about to see was all done in creative and in the Lone-Lands biome.
The wood used in my build are all found in the Lone-Lands biome.
The camp is surrounded by a wooden wall, with wooden pillars outside of the first wall. A bronze gate acts as the entrance and exit to the build. The ground surrounding the build is composed of gravel, dirt and stone and supports wooden fences which hold the skulls of unfortunate victims captured by the orcs.
The interior of the build contains 4 beds, a Gundabad Faction crafting table, 2 chests, a bear skin rug and a set of warg fur armor.
Hello everyone, I have a question for you. What kind of excisting gondor spawnable structures would you in the differnt rings of Minas Tirith? Where would you place mainly the gondor smithies? A market place would be most likely down in the first ring. Stables were mentioned by tolkien to be in the sixth ring.
Would you place mainly Gondor Townhouse?
Where would you put a Gondor Bathhouse, maybe as the House of Healing in the Sixth ring?
One Gondor Tavern in the first Ring for sure, because a Tavern was mentioned by Tolkien to be in the First Ring.
What kind of other ideas would you have?
PS: That is no suggestion how Minas Tirith should be build as a part of the mod, I just need some inspirations how I can fill my own build Minas Tirith with some easy to spawn structures ...
So, I am Sauron on a server, and Sauron needs a better habitation than the Bagronk of a fortress in the mountains he resides in right now. So the Dark Lord has commisioned the Dark Tower to be reconstructed to the darkest degree of grandeur. The slaves have been working for long now, and have dug a massive pit to y = 15 to build the tower in.
Basically, I need help figuring out how to build and style such a gargantuan build with only being able to use WorldEdit for terraforming, and having the ability to fly. Any advice?
Hello there, here is my Part 1 of my Test Build of Erebor / a Dwarven City, mostly build by combining spawn structures (especially the Dwarven Mine Entrance) and some simple World Edit commands like editing cube selections.
1. Erebor Gate:
Still unfinished, it is build by placing 3 Dwarven Towers next to each other, that only the most outer Dwarven Columns merch. Can take some tries because the height of the Dwarven Tower is randomn and it has 3 variations. I edited the top floor a bit and the first 3 floors to make the Main Gate with its defenses.
Not sure if I should build it bigger, the Erebor mountain has no steep so "carving" the Main Gate in the Mountain takes a lot of Terraforming, the bigger, the more ...
2. The Entrance Hall
The view in the Entrance Hall to the Main Gate. The Entrance Hall is build by counting 30 blocks upwards at the fundament from the Dwarven Towers and placing the Dwarven Mine Entrances next to each other, that the outer walls merge together. By removing the Dwarven Brick walls between those Dwarven Mine Entrances (DME), you get easily done those 3 x 3 block Dwarven Columns. The Entrance Hall was build by a field of 5 x 6 DME, removing the inner most and experimenting a bit with the ceiling, but that is nothing special.
3. Entrance Hall with some Shopping
At the sides of the Entrance Hall were placed Dwarven Smithies right in the center of walls, at that point where you find the Dwarven forges in the DME structure. No Dwarven Smithy merges with its neighbours so you can easily produces multiple different "shops" in a certain area.
I made a small dwarven keep in the Misty Mountains (i do know there were no dwarves here at this time, it was going to be a gundabad keep but i liked it too much.)
