Ale is a weak alcoholic brew made from wheat. A weak ale has 0.75% alcoholicity, and a potent brew has 9%, making it one of the weakest non-magical alcoholic drinks. It is also one of the most common drinks in Middle-earth, and can be found in most of the western lands.
Brewing[]
In order to brew ale you will first need a barrel. Ale is easy to make, as additionally to the usual three water buckets it requires only six wheat items per barrel, and wheat is found throughout the world and is very easy to farm. Ale is brewed in the usual five potency steps, first being weak, then light, moderate, strong, and finally potent.
Obtaining[]
It is a popular drink among the Men-races of Middle-earth, drunk by Hobbits, Dunlendings, Men of Gondor and Rohan, and many others. It is found in a great variety of structures ranging from the taverns of the Shire and Dunland to Gondorian fortresses and Ranger camps.
Ale is bought and sold by several traders, including Hobbit Bartenders, Dwarf Miners, Dunlending Bartenders, and Coast Southron brewers.
Effects[]
When drinking ale, your hunger bar will fill up, but you will have to persevere with the status effect of Nausea for a duration depending on the alcoholicity of the drink and your own alcohol tolerance; however, ale is a rather weak beverage, this effect will not last long even if you drink the potent variant.
