The Ancient Haradric chest is a container found in Harad Pyramids. Only one can be found per pyramid, and they are unobtainable by any other means. It contains the same loot found in the pyramid’s stone chests, such as gems or Black Númenórean armour and equipment.
Appearance[]
The Ancient Haradric chest appears to be made of sandstone, with a red sandstone lid. The Eye of Sauron is carved onto the lid. When open, the inside texture shows a heap of golden treasure and precious gems.
Obtaining[]
To find a chest one must first find a pyramid. They can be found by exploring the Great Desert. Once a pyramid is found, circle it to find the sand-filled entrance near the base and dig your way through the tunnel. At the back of the tunnel you will find a room with fires burning on hearth blocks blocked off by bronze bars. Inside there is a scorpion spawner; directly underneath the spawner in its base is an Ancient Haradric chest.
It can be broken with a pickaxe, but be sure to stand back when you first attempt to open it because it will summon a bolt of lightning to smite the unwary tomb raider. It will then spawn a Harad Pyramid Wraith to defend the tomb. Watch out for more desert scorpions as well.
Uses[]
The Ancient Haradric Chest functions in the same way as a stone chest. The only differences are the difficulty in obtaining, and the texture. Aside from storage, they can make nice decoration for a Haradric build.
