–The Return of the King, Minas Tirith |
Blackroot Vale Bowmen are the ranged equivalent of the standard Blackroot Vale Soldier. They are armed with Blackwood Bows and wear Blackroot Vale Armour.
Spawning
Blackroot Vale Bowmen will spawn in the Blackroot Vale, regardless of light level, provided they are atop grass. They are slightly rarer than the soldiers.
Behavior
These powerful ranged NPCs will, upon sighting a foe of Gondor, attack their enemy with their bows, keeping their distance all the time like all other ranged units. If there are no enemies in sight, they will wander randomly, their bows held down by their sides.
Hiring
Blackroot Vale Bowmen can be hired from Blackroot Vale Bowlords, which are found in Blackroot Vale fortresses and watchforts. They can be hired starting at +250 Gondor alignment, for 25-50 ( to ) silver coins. Note that the cost decreases as your alignment increases.
Drops
Blackroot Vale Soldiers commonly drop bones. They have a rare chance of dropping the Blackroot Vale armour or their Blackroot Bow that they are carrying upon their death.
