Blue Mountains Axe-throwers are similar to Blue Mountains warriors but use throwing axes instead of the usual melee weapons or spears. Even though they're short, do not underestimate these NPC's -- they are stronger than an Uruk Crossbower.
Spawning[]
The Axe-throwers can only be found naturally in Blue Mountains strongholds. They are slightly rarer than Blue Mountains warriors, but their deadly ranged attack more than makes up for that.
Behaviour[]
A Blue Mountains axe-thrower will wander around randomly at first, until he sees a player or NPC with a negative Blue Mountains alignment. If and when he sees a foe, he will start throwing axes at it. These units, along with regular Dwarven axe-throwers, are among the strongest ranged units in the mod - their thrown axes deal significant amounts of damage, and the Dwarves are capable of throwing them with considerable speed and accuracy. Each hit from a throwing axe will deal 3.5 hearts of damage to an unarmoured player or NPC.
By damage alone, these Dwarves, along with regular Dwarven axe-throwers, have the most powerful ranged attack of any mob or NPC.
Drops[]
Blue Dwarven Warriors have the same drops as normal Blue Dwarves, while also having a chance to drop their worn weapons and armour when defeated.

Hiring[]
These units can be hired from a Blue Mountains Commander which are found in Blue Mountains strongholds. They begin at a price of 50 coins if the player has +300 Blue Mountains alignment and pledges to a Dwarven faction. As always, price decreases as one's Blue Mountains alignment increases.

Short and quick to temper Dwarves can be a nuisance sometimes. But if you earn there respect you will learn they are in fact amazing folk. However don't make them your enemies as he dwarves are known for there skill at crushing Orcs!
