Good to know I'm not the only one bothered by this. I've heard it is hard to program NPCs to shoot differently i.e. aim lower for certain mobs, that being said I don't really mind the old bow system, or maybe the hitboxes for the shorter orcs can just be raised to 'man' size as a temp fix, I can't see that making too much difference in combat.
Raising hitbox could be modified to solve the problem but I don't think it's a good idea. Small orcs or not the lucky ones. There are dwarves and hobbits too. To make it equal, we should raise the hobbit and dwarf's hitbox to human size either so. And I don't even speak of tiny spiders of Mirkwood (or even rabbits! Orc archers miss rabbits too, even if it's not as problematic as what has already been mentionned). As hobbits and dwarves are much smaller than the regular snaga, the difference in combat risks to be felt for evil players. Imagine you fight a Dale Soldier and Dwarf Warrior. You want to harm the dale soldier but you hit the dwarf instead because he's front of your target. So I'm not sure it's a good idea.
The only solution I see is to come back to good old system from 34 updates. It was maybe less realistic but unless, NPC's aimed well.
