There are four ideas for Greater Gondor region:
The South Gondor part of Harad Road / Harondor road
The Harad Road from South Gondor to Near Harad Desert should be a ruined road made out of Gondor bricks, and it extends by Haradric bricks in Near Harad fertile.
The Harad Road represent the early expansion of Gondor in the beginning of Third Age.
“ | These cursed Southrons come now marching up the ancient roads to swell the hosts of the Dark Tower. Yea, up the very roads that craft of Gondor made. | ” |
–Mablung in The Two Tower, Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit |
Since the Harad Road was the long road that connected "Ithilien and Harad", the road in South Gondor should be made out of Gondor bricks. Similarly, the Harad Road across the Harnen and beyond to the far lands of Harad, so the Near Harad desert part would be Gondor brick road.
Moreover, there were more Gondor structures on the South Gondor. For example, there were Gondor Obelisks. Maybe removing Harad Obelisks from here would be better.
A solution for stone bridges like Ethring the Gondor bridge
Some bridges are certainly stone bridges, for example, Last Bridge, Brandywine Bridge, Ethring. I have read what did Mevans said about bridges, but there is still a solution. Since we know that the Last Bridge is a stone bridge for sure, we could add the separate River biome Hoarwell (Mitheithel), giving the river biome unique properties of stone bridges. The Last Bridge will be the only bridge generate on it.
Banners of Gondor
“ | [...] the banner of the Stewards floated a thousand feet above the plain. | ” |
–The Return of The King, Minas Tirith |
“ | [...] all the banners broke and flowed in the wind; and upon the White Tower of the citadel the standard of the Stewards, bright argent like snow in the sun, bearing no charge nor device, was raised over Gondor for the last time. | ” |
–The Return of The King, The Steward and the King |
“ | There flowered a White Tree, and that was for Gondor; but Seven Stars were about it, and a high crown above it, the signs of Elendil that no lord had borne for years beyond count. | ” |
–The Return of The King, The Battle of the Pelennor Fields |
I think that we should add to two types of new banners for Gondor: one banner of Stewards and one banner of Reunited Kingdoms.
As honourable High King Ithilion mentioned, "argent" means silver in the language of flags (and French language as well). The banner of Stewards would be light silver standard with "no charge nor device". It will be crafted on Gondorian crafting table with the wihte wool.
The banner of Gondor would be black standard with blossoming White Tree of Gondor. It will be crafted on Gondorian crafting table with the black and other colours wool.
The banner of Gondor with the signs of Elendil / the banner of the Kings would be crafted with a banner of Gondor and a mithril nugget.
You can dye a banner of Stewards to a banner of Gondor by black dyes. The defult banners of Gondor fortress should be changed to banners of Stewards, because the prototype of the structure is the Tower of Ecthelion.
Rohirric armours and equipment
I have a thought that the Rohirric and Dalish armour and equipment should be buffed to iron-level. Maybe for balance, the wood-elven armour and Dorwinion Elven armour and equipment could be debuffed.
As we know, silvan elves and Avari use light armours. Especially for Dorwinion Elves, I think that they're unlikely to have higher-valued armour than the men of Dorwinion, because they live and work together.
For wood-elves, they were continuing losing lands from the invasion of Dol Guldur: Dol Guldur was named Amon Lanc and the the capital of the Woodland Realm of the Silvan Elves, but they lost it, fleeing to north, eventually only the Northern Mirkwood remained. Moreover, the final Fall of Dol Guldur wasn't caused by the Woodland Realm, and it took the force of Lothlórien to cross the Great River and Galadriel threw down its walls and laid bare its pits, and the forest was cleansed. Therefore, the Woodland Realm is considered to be weak one among Elven kingdom, and it's not only presented on durability.
For Rohirric armour and equipment, as Faramir said:
“ | Yet now, if the Rohirrim are grown in some ways more like to us, enhanced in arts and gentleness, we too have become more like to them, and can scarce claim any longer the title High. | ” |
–Faramir on The Two Towers, The Window on The West |
The Rohirric armour and equipment should be similar to the Gondorian armour and equipment, for the communication between Rohan and Gondor is frequent. Rohan has improved, and they can use iron ingots to make iron-level armour rather than bronze-level armour. Gondor has fallen from the glory of Númenor, and there will be a suit of Númenorian armour in future update.
The Kingdom of Dale has sent lots of smith apprentices to the Lonely Mountain, I swear, they are capable to make iron level armour and equipment out of iron ingots.
“ | Fathers (of Dale) would beg us to take their sons as apprentices, and pay us handsomely. | ” |
–Thorin in The Hobbit, An Unexpected Party |
[Updated] Rammas Echor
Sorry, I forgot this one. I think that I shouldn't start a new thread to discuss same topic which is Gondor addition. It's similar to the circle of Isengard, so it's definitely achievable in coding. Rammas was built between T.A. 2953 and 2984, which means it still a rather new wall made out of Gondor bricks.
Besides, please disable invasions in the Pelennor, for it was surrounded by Rammas Echor until 3019, and invasions should pop up from nowhere when they was a wall protect the Fields.
“ | So the men of Gondor called the out-wall Rammas Echor that they had built with great labour, after Ithilien fell under the shadow of their Enemy. For ten leagues or more it ran from the mountains’ feet and so back again, enclosing in its fence the fields of the Pelennor. | ” |
–The Ruturn of the King, Minas Tirith |
“ | At its furthest point from the Great Gate of the City, north-eastward, the wall was four leagues (4 leagues ≈ 16 kilometres) distant, [...] and men had made it high and strong; for at that point, upon a walled causeway, the road came in from the fords and bridges of Osgiliath and passed through a guarded gate between embattled towers. At its nearest point the wall was little more than one league (≈ 4 kilometres) from the City, and that was south-eastward. [...] The out-wall rose upon Anduin's very brink. | ” |
–The Ruturn of the King, Minas Tirith |
