Long winding Roads
In the mod, people complain that traveling is hard. You need to fast travel to a way point and wait 30 min before you can do it again. If you think about it, you can make it the misty mountains from the shire in about 1 hour and 45 minutes. But that actually takes Bob the hobbit around 2/3 weeks. Travelling is hard for bob, and it should be for us.
Roads
Roads should be a sub biome of whatever biome they are in. Why? Because they would have different spawn rates and the ability to fast travel.
If you are on a road, then mobs and invasions are more likely to spawn. It's easier to invade Gondor if your horde has easier travelling. But outside a road spawns should be lowered.
Fast Travelling
Fast travelling is Mevans way of making travelling easier, a key feature of gameplay. But I personally think we should make it harder to do.
First of the balance limiting fast travelling, we should make the wait time slower, the standard about 15-20 min.
Now, you should only be able to fast travel on roads and paths (I'll come to that later), before you start complaining, it makes sense. If you came to a region to kill npcs, then stay on the road, if you wanted to get quests, stay on the road, if you came to explore, then you would leave the road, but you wouldn't know where to go.
You simply can't travel to somewhere if you don't know where you are. Anyway, if you did, it would take time and it wouldn't be 'fast travelling'
Roads are made to make travelling faster, as there are no obstacles and roads are generally well protected. Therefore you should only fast travel on roads and paths, they are made to lead you somewhere.
Paths
"But Lego!" I hear you saying, "I wanna find villages and some way points are connected by roads!" Don't worry Jimmy! There are paths.
Paths aren't shown on maps, you have to find them yourselves. Once you find a path, it will update your map and you will be able to fast travel from one. They will mostly go to ruins and villages as they would be made for something. You might also find one going to withered Heath, who knows!
They will only appear on your map if you zoom in though, so it doesn't get to crowded.
Conclusion
Though many people think that having limited fast traveling sounds like a bad idea, it is balanced this way and has more of a Lotr feel, not everything is instant!
Kudos please!
