Just a brief one today.
I'll be suggesting a few new plants to grow around caves, just to make things a bit more interesting.
Mushroom Patches
These are small, decorative patches of Mushrooms that grow in caves and dark areas. They only take up a single block, but have the appearance of several capped mushrooms. They don't have a use outside of looking nice. When broken, they'll drop a single red or brown mushroom.
Glowing Variant
This variant only grows in caves. They look similar to their non-luminous counterparts, but coloured a pale, luminescent green, and provide a light source. When broken, they'll drop a new item, called Glowing Mushroom. This item can't be eaten, but you can use it in Dwarven Tonics, because using a Mithril nugget is weird.
Foul Shroom
This replaces the current Morgul-shroom. It has the same attributes in nutritional value, poisoning, etc, but its appearance and spawning is different.
While the old Morgul-shroom only spawns and grows on Mordor Rock, this will now spawn in many different places: Mirkwood, Dol Guldur, Angmar, and caves in all sorts of other places.
When eaten, no matter your alignment, you should gain nausea for a few seconds. It's not called a Foul Shroom for nothing.
As for its new appearance, I've created a texture for it.
Earth-bread
No texture for this one, sadly (not yet, anyway). This root comes from Unfinished Tales, eaten by Mîm the Petty-dwarf and his children. When cooked, it's said to taste like bread, giving it its name.
This root spawns uncommonly throughout Middle-earth, in these lands: all mountainous biomes, the Vales of Anduin, Dale, and Dunland. It resembles a tall-leafed plant, with the white root partially sticking from the ground. It can't be planted, but its cooked variant is sometimes sold by Dwarven traders, especially Wicked Dwarves.
The raw plant can't be used, but it can be cooked in a Dwarven Forge to represent that only the Dwarves knew about the Earth-bread's edible property. The Cooked Earth-bread can be eaten, filling as many hunger bars as normal bread.
That's all
Like I said, this is a short one. I welcome any ideas about some more locations these plants can spawn, so feel free to leave some feedback.
