Dúnedain

The Dúnedain (singular: Dúnadan, Sindarin for Men of the West) are the peoples of Arnor and Gondor, descendants of refugees from Númenor which sank in the Second Age. The Dúnedain of Gondor are a declining people, and the Dúnedain of Arnor, their kingdom having fallen long ago, survive only as the scattered Rangers of the North.
